Day 24 (lock down)
Thursday 16th April - bike ***** - Two Rivers – Orwell to the Deben –
Sunny with frost.
After yesterdays epic 28 mile trip to the Bluebell woods we were going to
have a day off, there is after a limit to how many places you can go on a
bike around Felixstowe but woke to another clear but chilly day so decided
to head down to the seafront to see the sunrise:) We left home at 6 in the
morning, a little late to catch the sunrise but because of a low bank of
cloud we got on the prom in perfect time to see it:) There was more breeze
today as we rode down to the Ferry and gloves were an necessity today.
There were several joggers along the Fludgers section but no one from The
Dip to the Deben. The gulls had made a big mess looking for food from the
rubbish bins and we did our usual trip around the boat yard before heading
back via the woods at The Grove where there was frost on the ground. Mag
headed for home while I continued through Langer Park to the View Point,
where it was just me and one other cyclist:) It was then back past the Fort
to the beach, stopping to watch the dredger come in before heading home
along the prom. Breakfast then several hours enjoying the sunshine in the
garden doing my exercises, reading and dozing :) Apparently vitamin D helps
ward off Covid 19 and I am over dosing on it at the moment!
